Schaatsen in de media 2021/2022

Ik heb Hersman volgens mij wel vaker over die coach horen praten. Hij lijkt me niet direct fouter dan bv. Poltavets (toevallig trainer in Rusland rond Sotsji), die nu gewoon Leerdam traint.

Ook Marchetto is op die manier verdacht trouwens. Daarvan zei ook niemand dat het zo verdacht was toen Leenstra daar mee ging trainen.

South Korean speed skater mocked for making controversial gesture of 'wiping the podium'

After South Korean speed skater Cha Min-kyu lost to Chinese skater Gao Tingyu in speed skating men's 500 meters final on Saturday, he made a controversial gesture by wiping the podium before stepping on it at the award ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, appearing to hint that the competition was "unclean and unjust." The gesture can be traced back to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang when it was first used by Canadian athletes to satirize the competition after they were ruled foul and disqualified from the Games in the short track speed skating 3,000 meters final.
 
Nou, qua sfeer zit het wel goed in dat team zo te zien! Is ook wel zo fijn zodat nu Kok een beetje opgebeurd kan worden (en om Wust een beetje uit het TP gedoe te halen nu).

Hmmm, he's from a village next to Leuven (the town where I grew up btw). There is something in the air over there...

Superleuk echt! Ik heb het ook helemaal afgekeken.:)
Interessante zaken:
- Ireen die Kjeld naar Reggeborgh gehaald heeft.
- Ireen die bewust na de finish van de 1500 haar armen in een juichgebaar omhoog gooide in een staaltje psychologische oorlogsvoering.
- Ireen en Kjeld die de beroemde foto van Koentje met Ireen op zijn nek even nadoen.
 
Ik vond het ook wel leuk om te zien dat Nuis, die toch zelf ook een grote baas is nu, echt heel veel respect voor Wüst heeft en zelfs wat tegen haar op lijkt te kijken (of dan in ieder geval bepaalde aspecten van hoe ze haar sport beleeft).

En dat kwam op mij erg oprecht over.

Zeker, en zich ook kwetsbaar durft op te stellen. Hij komt heel erg in balans over.
